NEW YORK, NY Oct. 15 (DPI) – NBA Superstar LeBron James came down on the side of authoritarianism yesterday when he remarked that a team executive’s tweet supporting the Hong Kong protests was “misinformed” -and readers lined up to criticize him.

James, participating in an exhibition game in China this week, told the Chinese state media that the single comment by the Houston Rockets General Manager was “misinformed and not really educated on the situation”. Readers expressed their dismay that James – all apparently to promote his already prosperous business interests — would roll over to a repressive regime that’s shown little regard for the everyday liberties that the Hong Kong protesters are fighting for.

I have zero respect for James or the NBA. Hate on your own country because it has no negative financial ramifications for you here, but take great care not to offend the Chinese communist totalitarian dictatorship because it might impair reaching your goal of being a billionaire?

They should all be ashamed.  We have free speech, unless exercising that right has negative money implications? They should stand openly and proudly with Hong Kong, but they do not.  History will not reflect kindly on these hypocrites.

Either Lebron wants that China money or he just has no idea what he’s talking about. Likely both.

I guess the self righteous St James wants Chinese money? He can criticize America but can’t be honest about China? Guess we know his price.

Lebron is a liberal hypocrite. He says a lot of unitelligent things but this one tops them all. That manager from Houston Rockets was well infomred as most Americans that China is persecuting Hong Kong. The NBA only cares about money and selling their  shoes.  I am done watching or going to any NBA games.
