Trump Wants to Regulate Social Media; Good Luck With That, Readers Say

WASHINGTON, D.C. May 27 (DPI) – Trump, after relentlessly peddling his own fake news on Twitter, is now trying to regulate social media platforms after some of his recent tweets appeared with fact-check warnings.

And readers, even those of the usually supportive Wall Street Journal, dismissed his latest attempt to intimidate those he feels are biased – against him. The Number 1 recommended comment on WSJ.com: “Trump has no integrity, morals or ethics.”

Other highly recommended comments:

Trump’s reaction to Twitter was the fourth Pants on Fire. “Twitter is completely stifling FREE SPEECH, and I, as President, will not allow it to happen!” Trump said. Trump is wrong: The First Amendment limits the government, not private platforms like Twitter. Twitter’s decision to mark one tweet as misleading is itself protected under the First Amendment. That’s what six legal experts told us. The First Amendment protects Twitter from Trump, one of them said. It doesn’t protect Trump from Twitter.
Once more, The Blabber In Chief is wrong and does wrong.  He does not understand what insulin is for, what disinfectants are for, what hydro is for or what the truth is for.  What a pathetic example of a human being.

Kind of ironic that the person yelling Fake News! the loudest is the biggest distributor of it.

Government censorship of people who disagree with its leaders?  Wow!  Seems right out of the playbook of a dictatorship.  This current president is dangerous to democracy.
