WASHINGTON, D.C. Mar. 21 (DPI) – The Washington Post received 12,000 comments on a single comment board – in less than a day – as readers expressed a new level of shame and anger at Trump, who, in a speech in Ohio  yesterday, once again attacked the late Sen. John McCain.

Trump, among other remarks, claimed “I didn’t get a thank you” for McCain’s funeral. According to The Post:

“I gave him the kind of funeral he wanted, which as president I had to approve,” Trump said inaccurately, an apparent reference to allowing the use of military transport to carry McCain’s body to Washington. “I don’t care about this, I didn’t get a thank-you, that’s okay. We sent him on the way. But I wasn’t a fan of John McCain.”

Readers expressed dismay and shame at Trump’s unhinged behavior. The most popular comment received 1300 “likes” in less than a day:

I despise Donald Trump. He is a vile, malicious, petty little man.
He’s a disgrace and an embarrassment to our country.
The USA will never – Never – live down the shame of having placed this creature into the leadership of this country. Ever.
